My reflection

This semester, I’ve grown a lot not just in my writing, but in how I think and express myself professor Brady has taught me a lot . At the start, I used to write just to get the assignment done. But as the weeks went on, I started to care more about what I was saying and how I was saying it. I learned to dig deeper into texts and actually connect with the stories and poems we read. I feel more confident writing about big ideas like love, loss, identity, and truth. I also feel like my voice has become clearerI’m learning to sound more like myself on the page, not just a student following a prompt.

What I liked most about the class was how personal it felt being able to connect with my teacher has made the class 1000 times more enjoyable. Love is something we all experience in different ways, and getting to explore that through literature made the learning feel real. One idea that really stuck with me is that love is complicated and not always perfect and that’s okay. I think I’ll carry that with me into my relationships, learning to appreciate both the joy and the struggles that come with caring deeply about people. In five years, I see myself writing with more purpose, thinking more critically, and hopefully being someone who can connect with others through words whether it’s in essays, conversations, or even poetry. This class gave me a strong start in learning how to do that.
